Summary: We enjoyed our time in this marvelous hotel every minute. It was one of the most memorable stay, the hotel being an architectural highlight and disposing of a highly professional staff. The spa is as impressive as the beautiful environment of the hotel.

Summary: Des Iles Borromees is a hotel that prides itself on delivery and presentation of classic Victorian age elegance and style, with a modern twist. The restored building is fabulous and the rooms are finished to the same standard. Attention to detail by the hotel staff is superb and everything is delivered with a smile. We will definitely return in the future.

Summary: Probably the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The baroque decor is stunning and the views over the lake are incredible.

Summary: We had an amazing stay and our room got upgraded to a junior suite with a large balcony. We got engaged on the balcony overlooking the lake and this is trip we will always remember. Thank you!

Summary: Classic hotel with high class. We stayed four nights in room 201 with balcony and sea view and had a very pleasant stay. It’s only 5 min walk to Stresa centre by water line with spectacular views over the lake, island, boats and high mountains some with snow on the top. We were lucky to have 5 days with sun in the end of April, but the week before and after it rained a lot. The only distraction might be the noise from the road in front of the hotel.

Summary: We wanted an elegant Italian hotel full of style, and this hotel certainly delivered. Our room was upgraded to a lake view, presumably because the hotel wasn’t full. Everywhere you looked there was art work, beautiful decor and a luxurious feel, without being overwhelming. The staff could not be more helpful and professional, particularly the concierge. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food. The bed was quite firm and the cute balcony would have been the perfect place to sit and relax looking at the lake, had it not been for the weather - it rained! However, we would love to return to the hotel some time in the future, with fingers crossed for sunshine.
